Latest Projects w/ Coke Bottles

I've been obsessed with coke bottles lately. There are so many cute ideas out there you can do with them. Here's a few that I came up with.

Here's a cute St. Patty's day decor idea from the silhouette blog that I will most definitely have to do for next year. Simple but oh so cute!

Valentine Crafts

Sorry for M.I.A, but my nifty new Silhouette Cameo is to blame, plus being a busy mom of course. But, honestly my toy has been such a blast. I've been cutting away to my hearts content. Speaking of hearts....I have a few Valentine crafts to share with you.

This banner I made with my cameo from a tutorial on the silhouette blog

Every Tuesday the silhouette blog gives away a free shape.  I cut this image out and made it into a "Be Mine" block. This was quick and easy...took me a whole 30 mins to make. Super easy and fun. I love how it turned out.

And finally I saw this idea on pinterest and I knew I had an empty frame laying around so I thought why not make one myself. Its the right touch to my V-day collection, plus its been fun for me and my hubs to write notes back and forth to each other.
Valentines Day is just right around the corner. I hope you and your significant other have something special planned on that day, and that you will treat each other good. In fact, why not treat them good everyday! Anyway...Have a good one!

Sock Snowman

Made this cute little sock snowman a few years back
This is a fun and easy holiday project that the kids can even do.

Doesn't he look cute at the end of my piano!?!?!

All you need

  • A tube sock that doesn't have a match
  • dry rice
  • embroidery thread
  • a peice of fleece or what ever you have on hand to make a scarf
  • acrylic paint for the face and buttons ( you can actually use real buttons as well)
  • spray on glitter (optional)
  • q-tip to apply the paint on
  • bell
Directions

Its pretty much self explanatory. Basically all you're going to do is cut off the top of the sock about 1/4 of the way down.  Set the top half aside, you will use it as the hat for the snowman. Fill the rest of the sock with rice and tie off to make the body and head. Tie off again at the top to secure the rice in. After you do that take your strip of fleece and tie around the neck. Take the top half that you set aside and tie it off as well with the bell attached. Make your face with the paint using the q-tip to apply it on. Let it dry. Once it's dry put the hat on and take your spray glitter and spray the whole snowman to give it a sparkly look.

And there you have it, a cute little snowman decoration, or a gift for someone!! Make as many as you want. :)

In the Making....

With  recent vacation, family visiting from out of state, Thanksgiving, and some new responsibilities that I'm now in charge of....let's just say I haven't quite figured out how to balance everything going on in my life. Which I hope I figure out soon, because I want to continue to blog about all my craftiness and other things I stumble across.  So I hope for those who read this blog will bare with me (if there is actually people out there that read it), I will try my best to keep it going. But in all honesty this blog is for me so I will do what I can.

Anyway.....
back to my post
I'm in the making of creating something spectacular!! Something that's been around in my family since I can remember and I wanted to make one for my little kiddos to enjoy as well during the Christmas season!
Can you figure out what's in the works? I'm sure the last picture will give it away. I can't wait to show you the finish project!
